TR on RDM

As I am member of the light-weight group I would like to try my TR 5.9 on a RDM. I have already tried it on RDM-cambers of a big australien sail-company, but those cambers pop off immediately, so I'm asking for help.
From where can I get cambers that would fit (I think Gaastra would fit, but they didn't answer any of my mails). Maybe Barry you could help?

Broken Boom Head - Repair Options

Hi - I have a Maui Sails carbon race boom [182 - 242 cm]. I am not sure what year it was made, but I bought it new just over a year ago from a dealer on Cape Cod. This weekend, the boom head broke and is unusable. The plastic 'hinged piece' that the clamping line hooks over pulled through the steel pin. Fortunately, I noticed it just before it pulled completely through and was able to get back in.

I'm guessing I need to replace the boom head completely. From what I gather from your website, there have been some improvements made.

First question: Will the MS replacement boom head fit my current boom?

Second question: I am certainly wondering if this is covered, or at least partially covered by your company's warranty. I bought my boom July 07, 2009 and have a receipt for the sale. If you can answer this in this forum, thank you very much. In parallel, I will contact the dealer in case that is the preferred route to go.

2010 6.0m Pursuit with rdm mast?

I recently purchase for my wife a 2010 6.0m Pursuit. She loves the sail (I do too). I have been using a rdm mast that I had, made out of Italy: Epic Gear 75% carbon 430 cm. Do you think that this combo could affect in anyway the true performance of the sail or it should be compatible. (I know it is not a MS mast)?

Mast on Legend 5.3

Hello,

I just bought a Legend 5.3 (2011). Indications show that it should normally be rigged with a 400cm mast + 29cm extension.
I've got a 400cm and a 430 cm powerex (RDM 85%). I'd prefer to rig the sail with the 430cm as:
- i don't like having 30cm of extension (afraid of breaking the extension/mast),
- easier to de-rig (as the extension is sometimes stuck in the mast protection..).

Would i get the same performances if i rig the sail with the 430?

Broken Batten Tensioner TR2

I have broken one of my batten tensioners (backed the screw part out too far and broke it). How can I get a new one? Actually I would like a couple as I have partially stripped the hex on another one.

Hi Art!

In the Windsurfer International interview you spent a view words on your new freerace sail Titan-GS, and about it having a wider sleeve.
What else can you tell the curious Mauisails-addict about that sail? Will it replace the Ttitan or is it inbetween the Titan and the TR? What sizes will it be available, how many battens and cams?

hello Barry,

Currently using the mauisails boom 140-200 since it came on the market;

like it a lot, and the best boom i have by far; as my current boom starts to be worn-out a little bit i am considering a new one; will there be a new mauisails wave boom with the new bend curve like some competitiors have introduced or will it stay the same in the coming years?

Will there be a big difference using legend 5,0 and 4,5 2011 on a Naish firestick rdm 100% carbon from 2008 insted of the mauisails mast. And are the legends in these sizes good also for freestyle.
