A few months ago I already told you that I beated the Belgian speed record, but the World Sailing Speed Record Council couldn’t  make it official because the difference was too small. Now I can prowdly tell you that my time is made official on their site, www.sailspeedrecords.com/content/view/13/15/ I’m officially the new record holder for Belgium now !  

I’m very glad because I've beaten the old record during a competition, while the old record was made during a privat record attempt. That's much easier, because you have the course all for yourself then. I would like to thank all my sponsors (F2, Maui Sails, Select, Ion, Squeezy, Protest, Cool Shoe) and also my family, because they helped me to make this possible.
