After a very good season with a 2nd at Slalom, 4th in Formula and 3rd in Speed Dutch Nationals,
Dirk Doppenberg has put a crown on his work by taking the Dutch National Production Record.
At the first attempt on South End at the DrivebyWind contest, Dirk has put 42,62 Knots average over 500 meter in the books.

The conditions were not super, the wind direction was a bit to tight and not as strong as hoped for. Dirk was racing F2 SX XS and a 5,9 MauiSails TR-3. At the same day, Outright speed record holder Finian Maynard was just a fraction away with his F2 Missile XS from breaking the Production World Record, now in the hands of F2 Shaper Patrick Diethelm.

All this looks very promising for the coming stand by period of the DrivenbyWind event at the South End location were Dirks team mate at MauiSails Martin van Meurs already broke trough the 50 Knot at GPS barrier some weeks ago.
