MauiSails riders taking top spots in Holland
13th October 2008
Last saturday october 4th, the finals of the National Championship freestyle of Holland took place on lake Amstel in Holland, during the "Lago Di Amstel Freestyle Battle". 52 competitors participated and the cold wind was blowing well to get a spectacular contest. 2 single eliminations could be finished. In heats of 6 minutes the best 6 moves (3 on each side) counted. The best two sailors advanced.

We just got our new Maui Sails 2009, so we were anxious to get a good result. Steven Van Broeckhoven was on fire and he showed the public why he's the man to look out for in efpt and hopefully also PWA in 2009. He easily won every heat and the finals by the latest moves like switch kono, toad, cana brava, shovit-spock, burner,... Steven was sailing with the new loco 5,2 and 4,8 of 2009 on the F2 chilli 108, and he really likes the new sails!

Niek, the organisor of the event, also performed very well against the younger guys and he got 3th on the podium, also with the new loco 5,6 and 5,2 on the fanatic skate.
Rolien Caers (F2-Maui Sails) was the absolutely best in the ladies division to take the title.
