Maui Sails on podium in Holland and Belgium
17th November 2007
I am Rolien Caers, a girl from Belgium, 15 years and team rider of MauiSails, F2 and Ion of Herman van den Berg. The Belgium championship consists three games. The first game was sailed at the Oesterdam, another at Grevelingendam and the last at Brouwersdam. Yes Belgium games at Holland’s location. In the women's category I won all the competitions. After tree official games I was first in the ladies, 4th in Young guns, aged under 20 and in the open class 9th.
Last weekend I participated in the Dutch freestyle championship at Horst. We were with 24 participants. There were no other women so I surfed with the guys I surfed with the Legend 5.0 and F2 Chili 99. I end up on 4th place in the young guns class, aged under 17. In the open overall class I was 10th

Another goog news from Holland is that Maui Sails won again in freestyle during an international competition at "beach Horst" in Holland. Steven Van Broeckhoven (team The Bunch, F2-Maui Sails) won EVERY heat! Niek van der Linde (team The Bunch, Fanatic-Maui Sails) became second after beating Remco De Weerd.
1. Steven Van Broeckhoven (F2 - Maui Sails)
2. Niek van der Linde (Fanatic - Maui Sails)
3. Remco De Weerd (Fanatic - Gaastra)
Steven will be competing in the European Freestyle Pro Tour in 2008. I bet he will be a tough opponent to the best competitors! Steven won EVERY heat and EVERY competition he participated this year. When he is on the water in Belgium and Holland, all the eyes are focused on him.
This winter Steven and Niek go to Bonaire, and we are planning to get a camera-crew for tv-reports on several tv-stations.
