Miguel Rodriguez(QKito) has taken the slalom series to his heart and has climb up from the bottom of the pack to the solid 3rd position in the Punta’s slalom series.

On Sunday June 28, Qkito, local rider for Tha’ Boarding Co./MauiSails Puerto Rico did some amazing racing and took 3rd in all 4 races during the day. Claiming his status as a contender for the next few races. Races were done in 12-14 knots and back to back with no rest between due to a late start during the day after a week of no wind before the event.


He was using his 9.0 MS-2 sail and Starboard 122 in every race with great speed and impressive jibing ability.  He won’t let this happen again, he has the title in his reach and with MauiSails and Tha’ Boarding Co. as sponsor he won’t be missing anything to be on the top by the next race. Wish him luck on the next one.
 

Jose Sierra owner of Tha Boarding Co and Importer for MauiSails did some racing also took 10th in one race and 11th in the second race and for the third broke his harness and had to retire on the 3rd race. Not able to find a harness for the 4th race he call it the quits and is ready for the next race.
