From the 24-25 August I was in Holland for the 10th edition and also the last The Mission XL festival that took place at Brouwersdam. Together with my brother Tonky and other PWA freestylers Dieter, Steven, Youp, Nick, Rick, Paul and Davy we were there to give autographs, and give a great tow in freestyle show during both days.

It's feels great to be able to give back and show support to such a festival as this gives the kids and other windsurfers the time to meet their favorite windsurfer and this could also help bring more people into windsurfing and to get them more excited about the sport.

The most amazing thing i saw is no matter how light the wind was they still started the races and the sailors where pumping as the green flag went up. This kind of reminds me when I was doing longboard sailing :), this is a perfect place of how people in Holland love windsurfing and they just enjoy to be able have such an event in their country. I saw all kinda of boards from: RSX, formula,slalom, Kona and even that big class.

As for the battle of the giants tow in session, the crowds at the beach was blown away by the moves we were doing.

The Saturday party was rocking. First it started with the competitors receiving gifts with one of them winning a brand new board and sail. How much better can it get? Well... good DJ... good music... and with people just enjoying the night. Perfect.

Sunday was the last final racing taking place and before the prize giving an autograph session was on with the whole eight PWA riders signing posters, boards, shirts, caps. I really believe that about 200+ posters where signed that day.

Well over all a great event and even though it is the last event people will always remember The Mission event.
