In this year the Flens Surf Cup on Sylt was a great success for all competitors. Five days fully loaded with nice action in good conditions convinced the numerous visitors that windsurfing is a wonderful sport to watch.


In Wave/Freestyle the german youngster Philip Köster met the high expectations after his victory at the World Cup in Pozo and impressed the german elite with great jumps and lots of style. In an exciting final he could beat Klaas Voget, Fabian Weber and Leon Jamaer. Our teamrider Holger Beer got 7th and ends the season on a good 6th place in the German Championship.

"The first heat was immediately a tough one because one of my harness lines tore after my first move. So I had to sail the whole heat with one line which was really strenuous. The second heat was my best one. My MauiSails Legend 5.0 was very suitable in the conditions so that I could go to the next round where I had to face Klaas Voget, Leon Jamaer and Tilo Eber. In this heat I realized that I don’t have the power to give my best and ended in some crashes. Now I will train hard for the next season to become a top five sailor in Germany." - Holger Beer.
