We are very excited to present the 2012 Legend and Ghost XT lines as they have undergone the most significant performance evolution since a few seasons. We have combined all of our well refined, subtle shaping techniques which offer that perfect softness, balanced power and light handling with new school influenced outline adjustments to create the ultimate wave rigs. Noticeably shortened luff lengths and higher cut foot have resulted in sails that feel soft, but more “connected” and responsive while perfectly fitting into the most critical sections of the wave, allowing you to get more vertical and facilitating aerial maneuvers. Our passion extends from the loft to the water and the 2012 Legend and Ghost XT benefit from first hand daily testing and development in the Mecca of wavesailing.

Despite being developed as dedicated wave sails the Legend and Ghost-XT’s amazing wind range and well balanced power often make them the choice of any one that wants a light handling, high wind wave sail whether they have perfect waves or just need more control in rough “Gorge-like” conditions.

Taty Frans has been doing a great job introducing the 2012 Loco Freestyle sails, ripping it up on the PWA tour. We did quite a lot of development on the Locos this year, softening the luff curves and flattening upper profiles while at the same time tightening and making the leech twist more progressive. The result has been a sail that has excellent power but also super light and quick responsiveness to make the most technical, modern moves a reality.

We have incorporated MauiSails exclusive C595 lightweight X-ply into much of the 2012 sail range. Strategically positioned in the upper sail body where it has the most noticeable effect, the Legend, Global and Switch all benefit from generous use of this small yarn light weight film, resulting in less weight and sails that feel even lighter on the water.
