2007 Global

On-shore, power wave

Think Global. Act Local. Tourmeline, Coco Beach, Madagascar, New Zealand, Klitmoller and La Torche. If your travel schedule takes you to some of those places, or your local spot has good wind and some waves, or you’re just a blasting freerider, then the Global will be your choice in the MauiSails lineup.

Kevin Pritchard Wins PWA Wave World TitleThis powerful wave sail will never give you a hard time. It is perfectly suited to the widest variety of situations, with a deeper, powerful shape and a serious wave outline. This makes it ideal for onshore winds, early planning, and excellent speed. The durable construction details and tough materials make the Global ideal for hard use and a long life.

The molded rubber tack fairing has easy access to attach the uphaul. This fairing also provides rugged chafe resistance. All new low profile hard plastic batten tensioners with stainless steel screws are dependable and light weight. Bold colors in XPly™ are woven into a light-hearted, functional design. High tenacity woven materials assure the designed shape will be retained as long as possible.

All MauiSails are produced with the highest accuracy in reproduction possible.
This includes the use of line plots, machine cutting, and template assembly to fine line accuracy. This assures that every one of them will be exactly as designed and approved by The Team and Phil McGain.

The Global is designed and tested with MauiSails SRS Wave 100 RDM and SRS Wave 75 RDM masts.

NEW Technical Features for 2007

  • Lightweight polycarbonate batten tensioners with stainless steel adjuster screws.
  • PVC Leech protectors (ends of batten pockets).
  • Tough uphaul and tack handle abrasion resistant detail
